ERP integration using the Mercator tool

DBA has extensive system integration know-how, allowing to produce safe and secure interfaces in a record implementation time. In 1998, DBA became the official distributor in Brazil of Mercator's system integration Case, and has successively performed several projects using this tool:

• interface between the FATARR invoicing system and ERP R/3;
• interface between the ERP DataSul HR System and ERP R/3;
• interfaces between POS systems (sales outlet) and ERP R/3;
• B2C interfaces between the legacy sales system via Internet and ERP R/3;
• data migration and extraction for the SAP data warehouse BW system and Oracle;
• integration between ERP and business partners such as banks, suppliers and clients, via XML, EDI and EDIfact.

Currently, the number of projects has been growing in tune with market demand for B2B and B2C. Mercator , which was already communicating by messages with the main ERPs (SAP, People Soft, Oracle), has easily kept up with this technology change.

ERP - Business Intelligence

SAP's BW (Business Information Warehouse) allows the deployment of a corporate solution fully integrated with ERP, making automated data retrieval easy. Well ahead of the data marts, this solution provides an increased return on investment (ROI), a broader on-going flexibility and a higher degree of end-user satisfaction.

SAP's BI solution joins several interdependent systems, such as BW, APO (Advanced Planner Optimizer), SEM (Strategic Enterprise Management) and CFM(Corporate Finance Management).

DBA has been working for some time with business intelligence, with several reference projects. DBA's BW team is composed of functional advisors specialized in CRM, marketing, cellular telephony and finance, and qualified as SAP advisors in BW and R/3 and non-R/3 data extracton.

ERP - WEB

The growing implementation of corporate intranets has created the need to develop interfaces between Web applications and legacy systems.

The functionalities provided in the ERP system don’t always fulfill the needs of some companies. Where additional functionalities are required, Web technology can provide a good platform for enhanced performance, easy customization, and user-friendly interface, at a low cost.

Using a single user for connection with the ERP reduces the number of licenses and lowers the cost. Each user will need only one browser, thus eliminating the need to install ERP clients in each workstation.

DBA's clients can activate new functionalities and processes in their ERP systems. Before doing this, DBA suggests that they should undertake an analytical study to assess how to get the best our of their information system.
